Some build pics of my 1970

My Dad an I started this project when I was 15 and I'm now 32 yrs old. It's been a long time coming. It started out as a 70' LWB, was initially built as a stepside, but now is being converted to a SWB. It's like a lot of projects, started out with good intentions but money/life gets in the way but I'm back on it again.

It's currently at the paint shop being repainted black. It's not a color, it's a lifestyle...I'll be doing it in phases. Phase 1 is to get it painted and get the mechanical pieces working so it's driveable. Right now it will have the 305 TPI engine but later on I'll probably look at a late model 6.0L LS motor.

There's obviously lots of details I've left out but figured I'd post what we've got so far. I'll post more as I have them.

Both are very nice and your yard looks like a golf course. My truck kills all my grass.

Re: Some build pics of my 1970

Stepside pictures. Sold the bed to a fellow board member. Paint was in good enough shape that he ended up using the color on the rest of his truck.

The trouble I had with the bed was that I couldn't get enough tire in the factory fenders as I wanted. I'm running a 295/40/20 in the rear. That meant a mini tub was in order and I can carry more stuff in the fleet side also.
