New project

I'm always looking for ideas and info. I got what I thought was a 1953 long bed truck (no engine or trans and the id tag was painted over) started to order some parts for the bed, now I think it's a 1952 1 ton truck. What is the best way to tell if it's a 1/2 ton long bed or a 1 ton truck? Can I tell fron the length of the bed?

Re: New project

Yup, the half tons only have two stake pockets per side.
Jump on over to the 47-59 section of the board and ask away.
And, welcome. Always good to have a new 47-59 guy here.
