Turning a stub nose cab into a pickup?

So I found a pretty solid cab from what I call a stub nose truck. It's not a regular 2.5 ton truck. The hood and fenders are shorter on it. The fenders have a step built into them. It's not a cab over. My question is has anybody converted one of these into being used on a pickup chassis? I know the front corner of the door is clipped off and would have to be fabricated and the toe boards would also need to be replaced with pickup pieces. I'm not sure on the firewall. The cab supports look the same. Any help out there? Anybody else looked into it? Thanks in advance.

It looks like they are called low cab forward trucks.

Anybody modified an LCF cab to put on another chassis??

Have not seen one but I would love to make one. I have always thought the hoods looked to long on these trucks. When I have thought it through in the past I felt it would be best to use a standard cab and use the shorter hood and shorten the standard fenders. You would have to figure out if you wanted to use the big truck grill surround or the standard grill surround. Someone on this sight was trying to put the big truck grill surround on a standard truck but I have not seen it finished. I think it would be closer to the ground that way.

I'd just like to know how much would it would take to make a standard pickup cab out of the LCF cab. Only because it's the driest one I've found locally.

can you put up any pics of the cab the rear mount points are different (as the cab sits higher than it does on a pickup) from what i have seen in other pics.... door corners are clipped as you already know are the rockers clipped at all??? if not then i would say it should not be to hard to do the mounts changes to the cab as needed

those LCF trucks sit up pretty high so the motor can sit further back, you would need to cut out the firewall if you wanted it on a 1/2 ton truck frame and the motor would be between the seats. but sounds way cool!

Are the front cab support on the body not taller than stock...

Well I got a pretty sweet deal on the cab. I'll get more pics when I get it home. If nothing else I can make the doors work easily enough and it has a factory tach dash in it.
