One More Time - Headlight switch removal.
How DO you release the headlight shaft for removal from the front?
Pics would be a huge help. Yes, I did a search. And, I tried it with a flashlight... No luck. BTW - This help is needed for both a 73 K5 & 79 K10. - Dave

Re: One More Time - Headlight switch removal.
if memory serves correct there is a spring type button on the top close to the dashboard.. you push this in and yank out the pull knob and then you can acccess the screw nut from underneath to allow the switch to fall out under the dash where you unclip the harness
im thinking about it and im not sure if you have to unscrew the dash bezel to access the screwnut to drop the switch,,, i dont believe i have a switch here to take pics of

Re: One More Time - Headlight switch removal.
You pull the handle out to full on position, and then you press the release button (white arrow) then the handle will come all the way out. To replace the handle just stick it in, no need to press the button again.
