Parking Brake - NOPE validation request

Dug into my ‘86 K10 and I’m thinking the PO put the parking brake equalizer together using a few spare parts that might not be correct.

The enclosed pic shows the current config (ignore the cut cable, it was frozen) and I don’t see how the equalizer pulls both cables configured this way. From what I can tell only one cable (driver) will be pulled.

I checked LMC and really can’t tell how the equalizer should be configured. I did however order new cables and associated parts (including a new equalizer).

Anyone have experience/pics?
