If that's your first ride, I wouldn't trade it.

Maybe I'm overly sentimental, but I still have my second truck (in my sig). My first vehicle was a 72 GMC Super Custom that I traded for my second. Got a whopping $500 for it. Still regret that. For $500 more I could have kept both.

I say keep it strictly for sentimental reasons. 20 years from now your truck will have a great story.

You could always pop your collar and gel your hair too? Those cars are for little punks. It's a girls car! It's not muscle, it's sport.

Re: think i should trade?

What did you want before you got the truck?

I couldn't get attached to an 81 up, so I'd prolly trade a truck like yours for a
car like that. I wouldn't trade my 78 for it tho.

It seems like it dosn't matter anyway cause most guys end up with kids and a minivan.

I wouldn't especially if it's your 1st ride, plus I'm not a fan of Ford.

Re: think i should trade?

I would keep the truck - those Mustangs of that year are nearly worthless (and ugly).
Sorry just my opinion - I love C10 trucks - I do like Mustangs of the 60s and 2005- up Mustangs - but NOT those of the 80s or 90s....

Re: think i should trade?

I have both too. An '87 GMC SWB and a 1986 Mustang GT 'vert. I wouldn't get rid of either...you always have to have a truck...ALWAYS. And the 'vert is a toy for when we feel like ridin' with the top down.

Keep the truck!

I think this kind of says it all. You wanted a Mustang, and got a C10. It really only matters to you, and as far as I can tell it's a toss up. I wouldn't personally do it, but I wouldn't blame ya for doing it either. Some people get sentimental over things, and I'm included in that. Others enjoy having different cars for different reasons. I have a 03 Mustang and love it, and love my 84 SWB. Each for their different attributes. Good luck!
