Will the lift kit on my 72 fit a 68 long bed, 3/4 ton 4X4?

A friend of mine recently bought a nice 68 C20 long 4X4, it runs and has a straight body with no rust, he got it for a lousy $300! Anyway he was asking me about lift kits, he likes where my truck sits so I'm contemplating getting my self a new, softer riding lift and selling him my old one cheap. Any ideas if my "tough country" rear blocks and front springs will fit his 68? He's not worried about hauling heavy loads but I don't know if my 1/2 ton lift will work on a 3/4 ton.

Another question. My lift seems very rigid, I would like a smoother ride and I don't think new shocks would make a difference, I'm getting tired of my wife making fun of my truck when it bounces around or hits a bump hard enough th make my uterus fall out. Any suggestions on a softer lift? Will I need a sway bars with softer springs? Thanks!

Are the frame mounts the problem, shackles?
