Bolt Patterns and Backspacing
Hey would anyone know the bolt pattern for a '78 blazer? I have the front clip that I'm puting in my '67 and I'm going to convert the rear 6-lug axles to 5-lug and want them to be the same. I'm looking at the Coys wheels and planning on running 18x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the back. I have been looking and found that the pattern is 5x5 but want to confirm. Also, the backspacing options for the front wheels are 4" and 4.5" and the rear 5" and 5.5" and was wondering how to find out which ones I need.
Thanks in advance! |

Re: Bolt Patterns and Backspacing
Can’t help you with the backspacing but if you want a bolt pattern template that you can download and print for a 5x5 there’s one on my build thread. Just make sure your printer is set up not to enlarge or compress the image. (See post #79) http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=318544&page=4

Re: Bolt Patterns and Backspacing
If the blazer is a 2wd and has five lugs than it is a 5x5" aka 5x127mm. They used the 5x5" all the way to 99 iirc on all the 2wd pickups, blazers, tahoe's and burbs.
The backspacing is going to be more personal preference, the 4" and 4.5" should both be fine on the front. The 4" backspacing will push the wheel out 1/2" further than the 4.5". Same with the rear, it just depends on if you want it out or in a little further. But you should not have any problems with either BS on the front or back, at least on a fleetside, not sure on a stepper.
