My V.I.N
ok well i know there has been abunch of posts on this but this is quite confusing too me.
My VIN is KE134-1Z54160 Now according to this: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/Chevyear.html Its a: -4x4 -V-8 -1/2 ton -1971 -Comes from Fremont But what is confusing is after the GVW range it has Model code. Now on my VIN it says "34" what would that be? It only has a 4 for the Model code in the VIN decoder. Thanks Matt Last edited by 71GMCer; 04-19-2010 at 11:39 AM. |

If it's a GM here is the breakdown....

Re: My V.I.N
I think you got a 1970 there. GMC decodes different than chevy and each year or so they decode differently. Check the last grouping on the first link w3ifd gave you. 1970-1971 gmc vin. I think he got it right......It is confusing
