Post Gateway commercial w/truck.

Just saw a Gateway computer commercial that has one of our trucks in it. The truck is parked next to a trailer holding the Gateway cow. Also, the guy talking to the cow is the "big cheese" of Gateway himself!

Gateway is a bad word around our house! Remember all their advertising about being able to trade in or trade up? My wife called them yesterday. The guy didn't ask when she bought it or what model, just what processer do you have? When she told him, he said "Yours has no tradein value...put an ad in the paper and sell it" She's out shopping for a computer now and I assure you she didn't go to Gateway.

Hey buster! You kinda make them 'puter salesmen sound like car salesmen! And you're right! They'll all tell us lots of things when they're trying to sell us something, but getting them to back up what they say is a whole 'nother story! On the serious side though, I would get on their website and raise hell with them, you never know, it might just work. If not, at least you got your 2 cents worth in on the subject.

I personally have never bought a "brand name" computer, and never will! I've built all my computers from the ground up, and always will. This way, I know exactly what's going into the mixture, and can always change the ingredients (parts) anytime with NO hassles!

I just know enough to call the wife when I have a problem with the 'puter! Gateway will regret their actions. Patients ask me every day about how we like the 2 Gateways in my office. This will cost them over and over and over again. A good reutation is hard to get, but easy to lose.
