Under dash courtesy light question

I am rewiring my truck with American Autowire kit and I was hoping to see how some of you mounted the courtesy lights that come with the kit. Here are pictures of what I have. If you can post a pic of yours installed, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!
John

Re: Under dash courtesy light question

Here’s how I did mine. My dash was already dimpled for the holes. I just used the self tapper screws that were included in the aaw kit I got. (Courtesy lights only)

Re: Under dash courtesy light question

Those LED bulbs won't cause any problem because they don't draw as much voltage? If I use LEDs for turn signals I need a different flasher, correct?

No issues with led in applications that do not require flashing. Just remember they are polarity sensitive and have to be connected correctly to work.

Re: Under dash courtesy light question

As said in previous post no issues that do not require flashing. 69-70 front side markers do not flash. 71-72 they do. Problem is because front side marker grounds through the bulb to make them flash. If you install led in front turn location of 71-72 the front sidemarker will not light.

Re: Under dash courtesy light question

i bought a kit from a board member Roger Koop and here is the mounting. If you have the door switches then its plug and play.
