Need help choosing CD player and radio

I've got a 71 I'm doing up for a lady. I have pretty much everything new for the dash, but not sure what to do with a radio/cd player. She wants a CD, but obviously one wont fit in the factory hole. Is there a good looking radio that I can put in the dash, then a changer in the glove box?

The only thing I see in the vendors catalogs are cassette decks. I'm not really up to cutting up her dash as I just painted it today. Any advice is appreciated, I've been out of stereos for 20 years or more, so not sure what's out there. But we are old and definitely want something simple.

Re: Need help choosing CD player and radio

The old looking new technology units are nice (dont know about em much, but i think you can put a cd changer in truck or mp3)

Or just leave the stock AM radio and put cd player under dash in glovebox etc?

Mine had the dash hacked before I got it and I put an Alpine CDE-9843 in it.
I like it .

Re: Need help choosing CD player and radio

Check out my radio in the Blazer section, I added a wired remote and no need to open glovebox door. USB connection for 1,000+ songs off my iPhone.

Thanks, I ended up getting that changer and the bowtie radio from Classic parts. It seems to work pretty good and was an easy install with no cutting up the freshly painted dash.

X2.
I love the older Alpine units!
They have up to 45 Watts a channel and is MORE than enough for sound,
(at least for me).
