Now see, this is something else I like about mine.

You do not see too many with the option that has the A/C under the bench seat. Still want to modernize mine with a Vintage Air or some other kit but for now, heck I am leaving well enough alone!

I'm developing a possible craving for a 4X4 'Burb, so I'd like to revive this thread and see more pics of these big beauties.

Re: Show me your 4x4 Suburbans!

Hey Tony
I cant say wich kind of burb is the best because there are different needs for each burb owner. I happen to love the 4x4 burbs. I have had three and all I can say is they are great vehicles. I'm down to just a 68 now, which is my first burb. I also owned a really rusty 1972. Maybe I still do. I took off the old rusty body and replaced it with a 1967 panel body.

Lol sounds like what I used to have. a 1967 that I paid way too much for. And it had rust or I mean to say rust was its best friend.

Always on the hunt for a 2wd 'burb as I plan to transplant onto a 2004 wrecked Suburban chassis and running gear.

Of course you can play as long as you don't tell anyone that my front driveshaft isn't bolted in mine.

You should definitely start a build thread for that snow buster you're building.

Re: Show me your 4x4 Suburbans!

Well I sold my Suburban and having withdrawls.

It just had too much rust for me and my body man to deal with. So hoping the next one I get will be in better condition.

Re: Show me your 4x4 Suburbans!

I think I'm safe in saying if I find "the" 4x4 my Blazer has to go away, and after building my Blazer...,the Suburban would have to be done and done nicely.

Just like that second pic would be perfect for me. Just curious what did you get for it? (you said you had it in the past).

I think we got $6500 for it. It was faded but had a perfect interior.
we bought it to keep but someone had to have it worse than we wanted it.

Re: Show me your 4x4 Suburbans!

Yeah it looks good but thats way more than I would want to spend. Im sure that one was worth it, I just need something a little clunkier so it would fit in my budget =)
