Anyone move their master cylinder?
I am going to be putting a straight 6 with stacks in my project which is a whole other story, but the problem is that the master cylinder is going to be right where the stacks are. Has anyone used either Scotts or NoLimits under floor frame mounted master? ..or devised some means of moving the master out over the wheel well. I did a bunch of searches and found a couple threads where someone got the parts but in the end doesn't look like they actually used them. It is going to be a hydroboost system so I won't really need to deal with some large vacuum booster.
I would rather come up with a way to do it under the hood as opposed to under the floor. Going under the floor means check valves and such because I'll have a master at around the same elevation as the calipers and then have to come up with some sort of boot for the lever, need to have some way to access it for fluid and a pedal with a somewhat unnatural feel since it pivots down instead of forward. I'd really like to just move the master over as close to the hood hinge as possible to get it out of the way while still having the same sort of feel to the pedal, maybe some sort of torque arm or something like a clutch linkage. Anyone done such a thing?
