One Ton Cummins
Well here we go. To make a long story short this truck started out as building a combo of two trucks. The chassis of a rolled 72' GMC and a 69' C30. Now it is the combo of 4 trucks and 3 different makes of parts! FORD, DODGE and Chevy/GMC! I made the decision to do a Cummins built truck after a customer had stopped by my shop in his k5 blazer he had swapped a Cummins into. It'll be more useful to what I do and what not. A good friend of mine is doing all the frame fab work. Once it's together and running I will finish what's needed then blow it back apart and powder coat everything.
Here's a list of parts and pieces that are making up the build so far. 1979 Ford Kingpin dana 60 front axle. HARD TO FIND!! Dana 80 dually rear axle 1972 C30 Motorhome Chassis (cut 20 inches or so out and boxed) 1994 Dodge 12 Valve cummins (donated its life) Last but not least the 1969 C30 Cab and clip with a GMC grill Stay tuned!

More pictures. This timeline is over a few months/years. Things seem a little choppy but now I have all the major parts I need. I am also doing a frame off resto on a 69' C10 short bed at the same time. There will be some major progress in the next few weeks though.

Re: One Ton Cummins
Awesome! I’m in to see this come together. I’ve been wanting to 12 valve swap my K20 for years but finding the right donor truck at a good price is almost impossible any more it seems.

Re: One Ton Cummins
Now it's starting to look like something! I need to get longer U-bolts for the rear so I can use the correct lift blocks on it.

Re: One Ton Cummins
Some updates. Motor is fully mounted, fuel tank is mounted. Continuing the mockup and going to get it running soon. Crossover steering is ordered and the dodge core support is going to work with some mods.

Re: One Ton Cummins
Nice work on your truck! These builds take a lot of work but are well worth it in the end. I use my truck for hauling all the time. That's what it mainly does, gets used.
