Better Looking/Less Bulky LSx Water Pump?

Does anyone make a mechanical water pump that isn't so ugly? I'm trying to make the engine in my '66 look more like a 1st gen small block and the 5.3 water pump isn't working for me. It'll have carbs and "Chevrolet" script covers so the new style water pump looks out of place. Will still need to have heat hook ups.

Any suggestions?

Deal with it.

Or spend the $$$ on a remote electric water pump and all the hoses/fittings to run it.

Re: Better Looking/Less Bulky LSx Water Pump?

The 2010 Camaro pump has a driver side outlet neck. It faces forward, like the f-body pump. The t-stat housing also points a little more downward. I found it to be a better fit with typical GM radiators. It allows more typical hoses, so that 4 foot long crap top hose can go away. I used an '05-'08 Vette top hose.

There is some different pumps out there but most are going to look the same . I chose the 05 corvette accessories and water pump for one of my swaps . I think it looks pretty good . I never had opened my hood and someone said what and ugly water pump . They are mostly impressed with the total swap . These pumps are the nature of the beast . The corvette acc looks more old school than the truck accessories .
