What front hub to hub Width to Use for 47-54 ???
I measured my stock front width and hub to hub (the rim mounting surface on the brake rotors) was 58.25"
I'm going with '86 C4 vette suspension and I can get a front crossmember that is either 58" or stock vette width of 60" The rear will be 61.5" wide (stock is around 62"). I'm planning on 17 or 18" x 8" rims, looks like 4.5" backspacing for the rear. IF POSSIBLE, I would like to have the front and rear rims and tires the same so I can rotate them (lead foot will wear the backs out quicker) The overall width of the front fenders are narrower than the rears, so that need to be considered as well. Plus, I of course dont want anything to rub! Do I do 58" or 60" front hub to hub width? Will my 17x8 (4.5" bs) rims work in the front? What are you guys running for hub width and rims? THANKS! |

Re: What front hub to hub Width to Use for 47-54 ???
rule of thumb for me is to always go narrower. so I'd go 58 over 60.
Im not sure how wide my front end is hub to hub but I know my rims in the front are 20x8.5 with like 7" of bs because I needed it to be narrow to not rub. |
