funny that you said that..i am thinking of buying it and using it to do some small transporting around the area.would have to look into any rules and regulations, and insurance, but may do some light work for a tow company up here. talking to truck owner tomorrow.

That thing has been for sale a long time, I remember ads going back at least 4-5 months. Don't remember any drops in price either. Just thought I'd mention it.

yea..think i remember it also from aways back. ill see what kind of info and can get from him, maybe it will be a better donar truck for my 80 gmc project instead. if cab/front clip has minimal rust, might be a better way to go for me. cant beat a BB

Re: 72 car carrier in oregon 2500 CL

A friend up here has a mid 70's crewcab built into a similar rig and he keeps it busier than he wants to be sometimes transporting rigs around the area. With all these rigs that have to have all four wheels off the ground now when they are hauled or towed there is quite a bit of business moving cars from one place to another. His fees are quite a bit less then the regular towing companies but he still makes plenty off of it plus uses it for his own shop and race car. A fair amount of his business is hauling just bought collector cars for other guys.

No need to drop the price. It`s at least worth that. It`s the economy that slows the sale.I have a wrecker for sale for that much and it`ll stay right here before I drop another penny because it`s well worth the price, recession or not. That`s why it isn`t $3500-$4000 right now.
