Man did i spend alot of money today!

Today was a fun yet sad day because i ordered alot of expensive stuff. Well here is what i got ordered today. Shockwave airbags front and rear, trianglated 4 link, strong arms, wheel plates, Foose Nitrous Chome wheels in 20x8.5 and 20x10, 245/35/20 wheels for the front and 275/30/20 for the rear. Also today i recieved my shipment from suicide doors. They dropped off 2-3gallon tanks, 2 vair 380 compressors, 8 valves, and other air ride stuff. I think the me and ups man are going to be on first name basis by the time i get this truck done. The sad part about the whole thing is i still have tons of stuff to buy. That reminds me does anyone have personal experience with the Dakota Digital air ride height controller. The one that has 3 preset ride heights. It looks sweet! Now i just need to finish building the frame so i can install all these parts. Anyways just had to share my day.

Man, you have been busy! New parts are cool for sure.

The UPS guy here puts the parts straight into the truck. You know it's bad when the dude knows your project well enough to avoid the wife.

Now if I could only get him to install them for me, I'd be ahead of the game.

Now that is funny . Maybe if you offer him some beer he might install what he delivers . I cant wait to get all the stuff and get them install. It is going to look sweet as a rollin chassis!!!!! Cause after i get it rollin i think i might be broke for a little while. . I will take some more pics when the rest of the stuff comes in. By the way if anyone needs some air ride technology parts i highly recommend getting a hold of Nathan with Porterbuilt street rods. Really nice guy and a pleasure to do business with plus he give you 10% off because your part of this forum. Anyways talk to you all later

No i ended up buying the chrome ones and i figured that when the truck is all done then i will take them down and have them powdercoated. That was the only way i could have them in the grey. Who knows i might really love the chrome. When are you buying your set?

That's quite the purchase - sounds like it should be quite the truck when done.

Re: Man did i spend alot of money today!

My truck in in the driveway on the side of the house up on stands waiting for me to finish running lines and installing the tank. The UPS guy will just open the door and leave the boxes on the seat, the wife told him it was ok.

Re: Man did i spend alot of money today!

It has been an exciting week. I am building the frame out of 2x4 tube steel. I just got it all welded up. I still have tons of stuff to do on it but it is definately taken shape fast. So when i get some of the stuff from Nathan i can hopefully get it a rollin chassis .

Orange- don't they look sweet. I love those wheels. I am not going to have them powdercoated until i am almost done with the truck. So chrome for now.

Yukon Jack- Thats the idea. Hopefully it will be a head turner when all done. I plan on showing the truck for the first year then maybe turning it into a driver.

JimmyDean- thats funny! I should tell my wife to do the same .

I looked a bunch for the Foose wheels the size I wanted in grey, could find them anywhere. I went with Coy's C5 wheels they look similar and were pretty cheap. The only drawback is I ordered them in April and just got them.

Re: Man did i spend alot of money today!

Nathan Porterbuilt just gave me the confirmation #. It is supposed to be here next wednesday . That is all for all the shockwaves, 4 link, wheel plates, and strong arms. I also spoke to the wheel guy and he shipped them out late today and he is in CA so i should have those tuesday or so, and i ordered the tires and they thought it would be here by the end of next week. I also just ordered some drop spindals from ECE. They shipped them out the same day so that should be here in a few days also. It is going to be like christmas in the middle of October . I will make sure i take some pics of all the cool stuff.

Re: Man did i spend alot of money today!

Wow i didn't know they make 9" wheels. Anyways congrats on your purchase. Make sure you post some pics!!

Yesterday i got a package from ECE which is my drop spindals. I have to give ECE some props because i ordered the spindals thursday around 10-11am and i recieved them friday around 3pm. I paid for standard shipping. I understand that they are only a few hours away from me but for a company to get my order off the interent and then ship it within a few hours shows a company that has it together for sure. I am definately ordering some other things from ECE. Anyways i thought i would share that.
