Re: got my new (OLD) hubcaps anyone else like the stock look ?

Looks good, not something I would run but looks nice. I think it would be cool if a company would make some stock looking steel wheels and hub caps but in a larger diameter and of coarse wider. A 20 or 22 by 10 would be sweet!!

IMO, it is nice to see a stock C-10 for once..............Because honestly, you don't see many restored stock C-10's.

Love it. The only thing I would do is lower it.... and drive the crap out of it. I am going through major pains to get a 3 speed column shift going in my truck. Definitely would have been less hassle to keep the auto, but...

I like the stock look. I'm going back with the stock look on my '71 stepside along with the 250 and 3 on the tree. Where are you located in VA?

Drop and drive! Those are actually orange on the '67 caps. '68 were very similar except red and silver and the bow tie indentation is slightly different.

19673ontree, nice truck. Could you do me a big favor and post the paint code number from the sticker in glove box, if it is there . I believe it is the GM503 Light Green, but no one on the board has any info thus far.
Thank you.

I like dog dish caps. My preference would be to paint the wheels body color, but they look good black as well.

Stock trucks rule!!! Thank God you do not want to butcher it like most of the
other morons would. You have a great base to work with. Keep the stock
looks, clean up what is there, stay with the six banger,(OK, maybe breathe
on it a little), drive it and enjoy it!!

Smile Re: got my new (OLD) hubcaps anyone else like the stock look ?

to answer a couple questions ,
#1 I live in southwest virginia a town named Grundy
#2 the glove box sticker is not readable sorry

and I was wondering about the color on the hubcaps it's faded I thought it was red ?? but one of you said it was chevy orange !! thats what I'll put back on them , and the wheel's did they come from the factory black or body color ?? I am going to paint them green when I paint the truck ,,
I have been working on 67 68 69 camaro's for years but am really enjoying this truck , I am going to fully restore it back to 100% stock inside and out as close as part's that exist will allow , I already see that they don't make a 1967 seat cover so will have to go with a different model seat cover , just thing's like that , even though this truck has a little rust places here and there it's still the best one I've ever had , once done it should be a blast !!
it's a good truck to drive right now it runs out great !!
great site you have here lot's of info ,,,,,,,,,,,,Brad
