Finally got a real truck!

Hi I'm Kyle Djracer's nephew I'm 19. He's trying to lead me down the right rd. We traded my 88 Toyota pickup for a highly optioned 70 short step that will be a fleetside soon! We are installing a suburban middle row leather seat and a 71 grill and shell! This truck only has 90k miles on the clock and it apears to be correct. It must have lived in a barn it has very little rust in the entire truck! I can't believe this truck has never had a radio in 36 years! I'll post a few pics!

Re: Finally got a real truck!

Welcome aboard from TN. Why you wanting to swap from the step to a fleet? I have a fleet and was thinking of switching to a step. Taste sure runs rampant don't it. I like that seat ya got in there too.

Re: Finally got a real truck!

Welcome from Kentucyk. DJ is heading you in the right direction. Nice truck. You need to also get some chrome sport bumpers for your truck. I also perfer the fleet over the step side. But I do not have anything againse a step side I just like the fleet better myself. Again welcome. If you pay the $25.00 dues you can buy and sell parts on here. You just have to be a paying member to do this.

Re: Finally got a real truck!

That thing must have cost $75.00 over base model price? Cool truck. I would'nt mind having a stepside.

Re: Finally got a real truck!

Welcome from VA. I too have a 70 short/step, and go back and forth on the stepside vs. fleetside. I do like that suburban seat in it. Was it a bolt in? Yours is in much nicer shape than mine. I assume it's got a six in it right? Mine does and I'm keeping it that way just be different.

Rust free but how beat up are they? How do they look underneath? I know someone who may be interested in swapping with you. Send in PM to keep out of the Newbie threads. Thanks.
