Any van love?
I know this is a truck forum! but my other truck is a van, I love this thing! Done so much work with it. and the best part is stuff doesn't get wet lol
Also do you think the rear bumper on the van would fit on the truck with some different brackets? |

Re: Any van love?
Nice van. I've been thinkin of getting one for traveling, that or a 2wd Suburban.
I don't know about the van bumper, but an easier solution would be the blazer bumpers, they bolt right up, brackets and all.

Re: Any van love?
I posted a few van pics a long while back but didn't get much response. If you go to the "advanced" feature on search and look for van in the "title" only it will pull up several hits, including answers to your question on the bumper.

Re: Any van love?
this is my old mans 78 chevy shorty van we rebuilt it like 2 years ago with a new 350 and fresh paint and new rims. best part is we added flame throwers out the exhaust tips and it shoots about 1-2 feet of flame.

Vans with rally rims are cool to use for making front rims for your truck!

Re: Any van love?
My van's little cousin! I have an 87 Rally STX 3/4 ton. Same exact paint colors, but light blue is on the top and bottom. Dark blue is the middle color. Man, I have to get some photos up.
EDIT: Photos: I'm sorry for the huge photos! And the rogue Chevrolet hubcap! Last edited by RallySTX87; 02-06-2011 at 09:08 PM. |

Re: Any van love?
I'm also a big fan of the older vans. The first picture is of a van I sold this past summer: a '92 Chevy Sportsmobile. The second picture is a van I currently have: a '95 12 passenger made into a 9 passenger conversion. The third picture is my dream van: a '79 GMC Street Sedan to match my '79 Street Coupe. The last picture is a Chevy Sport Van.

Re: Any van love?
I always loved vans. I raised 4 boy's, we had several Van's over the yr's. Gave my last one to my oldest when I got the Dually. the boy's always hate'd em till we would go outa town and take there freinds with em.
I wanna get a '60 style Ford or Chevy one of these day's.

Some dude in Houston owns the real A- Team van. That would be cool.

Re: Any van love?
I am a big fan of the ’70-’95 G-vans myself. My Dad used to buy a new one every few years in the late 70’s through the early 90’s. My Dad passed away this past summer but my Mom still has their 1990 Explorer conversion van that they bought new.
StreetCoupe, Nice vans you have! I would have loved to taken the white Sportsmobile off of your hands. That is a clean van for being in Michigan! (I used to live close to Waterford) I had been actively combing Sportsmobiles websites for used ’87-’95 penthouse top G-vans to convert to 4x4 but just recently pulled the trigger on a new truck slide-in pop up camper so the 4x4 van project is off.

Re: Any van love?
Nice! One of my buds has a '68 G series that he's driven every day for the last 12 years. Got to love the van!
And then there's this one down at Del Mar... Classic van action at it's best.

Re: Any van love?
I forgot that I had taken these. This is a real attraction for all the kids at the local car shows.

Re: Any van love?
My dad used to have a 76 g10 that was stolen about 4 years ago I don't have any pics of the van on my computer but this one is very close just put the slot mags like on the Mystery Machine above and there you go. Wish we still had it

Re: Any van love?
Couple of cool van clubs out here too. Vandaleros and Kidnappers VC. I think both have pretty good web sites.
