What kind of paint would you use to paint a cast iron intake manifold? Chevy orange of course.

I have painted plenty of engine with PPG basecoat/ clearcoat Deltron, but this time I used POR 15 and am very happy with it.

PPG paint products have won me several best paint awards. I don't know about the piss poor gloss thing.

That's the one. I posted pictures on here of the engine right after I painted it. I really am happy with the end result. I've never been satisfied with aerosol engine paint myself, so I've always used car paint, or now this stuff. This stuff is bulletproof. I've gotten oil, trans fluid, carb cleaner, and gasoline on it with no effects to the finish at all.

The paint is completely glossy and new looking on the whole engine, even around the exhaust ports and places where it gets very hot.

All the folks at the Texas board meet seemed pretty bowled over by how well the paint turned out and was holding up.

Aww man take it easy. This is one of those times when the internet doesn't communicate too well. You didn't bother me at all with the PPG comment. If your dad is a rep for a competing comapny, I imagine he has lots of cute sayings about PPG and DuPont and others. I got thick skin, no harm here.
