Static Drop- Drop Springs

For those who have dropped their trucks using dropped spindles/w drop springs, have you noticed more than the advertised drop using the drop springs? Ordering a disk brake/2.5 drop kit from CPP w 2" drop springs and concerned about maybe being too low if the spring settles. Anyone?

Re: Static Drop- Drop Springs

I have 2.5" spindles (CPP) and 1.5" springs (ECE) and it sits right at 4" lower after a few years.

Re: Static Drop- Drop Springs

Thanks Clyde. CPP only has springs in whole # increments and I was originally thinking of 2.5 spindle with 2" springs but thinking it may be too low and rub on the inner fender (especially with CPP rep telling me they can settle a half inch or so after some mileage) so I'm thinking of a 1" spring instead...wish they had a 1.5 spring. I also plan on using the truck as a nice driver and dont wish to effect too much payload carrying ability.
