Good bye from Chevytech
Some of you may have noticed I am no longer posting on the board.
I have stage 4 cancer that is inoperable. The tumor that got me to the doctor is in my duodenum. I did not even know what that word was. It is the top part of the small intestine where the gall bladder, liver and pancreas mix secretions with the food you eat. Attempts to open the blockage that were planed to last 2 to 3 months, to give time for chemo and planning, failed in 9 days and I had a total blockage. That entire part of my digestive system is bypassed now, to give me time to get my affairs in order. I also have internal and external drainage tubing. Blood clots are the latest problem that has popped up. My body can’t get much from the food I eat so I have lost weight and am weak and tired. I have so much I want to do and little time to get it done. I have some good days and some really bad days. I will watch this thread and probably post on it but I won’t be replying to any other threads any more. I enjoyed posting on the board and I hope some of what I said lives on after me. I did not want to disappear without letting you all know why I stopped posting. Moderator you can move this to the general discussion area if you think that is where it should be. I posted it here because this is the area I did almost all my posting. CT

I cried when I read this.
I did not cry when my own father died, but I cried when I read this. Thank you for posting and putting my day in perspective, and many other's too, I'm sure. Thank you for your service here, in your insightful technical posts. We will make sure you live on. Best wishes for your time that remains and beyond. K

True legend and full of knowledge. You didn’t have to come on this board and help anyone. But you did and that shows your true character.
You will not be forgotten

Re: Good bye from Chevytech
Honestly I have no words in this situation other than be close to your family and make the very most of each day as you are able to. Your assistance and knowledgeable postings on the board will remain and continue to help others which is a good legacy and memory of one's worth.

Re: Good bye from Chevytech
I lost an old friend on Jeepforum years ago. McMud was his handle. Really nice guy.
His help when he was here is still remembered, and I'm sure the help you have offered here will also be remembered, and will likely help others out in the future. Point being, thank you for all of the help you have offered here over the years. We're all here temporarily. I hope you have faith in Christ, and will go to your real home with him. |
