im planning on getting the lmc dual exhaust. muffs. rear exit.
my truck is factory single exhaust. side exit. lwb 72 c10. Will i have any fitting issues since it is not factory dual? also, i have the ram horns that angle back. not straight down!! |

Re: exhaust question??
I am assuming that is the same as my truck, 70 lwb c10. I am running duals with no problems, they fit nicely just inside the frame. The only thing I had to do was find new places to suspend the pipes, super simpo. Also, how do you like your horns? I was considering putting some in instead of my stock manifold.

Re: exhaust question??
A couple of things:
Rams horns are orginal to this vintage of truck. The stock 2wd trucks had rams horns that angled back. 4x4s had straight down, center dump rams horns when they left the factory. I purchased the LMC kit for my 4x4. Stock was single exhaust. The 'kit' had everything I needed except hangers for the side that didn't originally have the exhaust pipe hanging from the frame. You can scour the parts list for those factory hangers from an original big block truck or simply go to NAPA like I did and purchase a generic hanger or two for the other side.

Re: exhaust question??
I just got the same kit for my truck, everything fit good except the last pipes, I ended up taking it to a muffler shop and they got them in fine, didn't need to be bent just position right and welded, if you can weld it should be fine. Oh and they charged $40 at the muffler shop.

Re: exhaust question??
Do you know if the LMC kit will fit a factory big block in a 1972? It says small block but I wanted to see if anyone had done it to see if it works.

Re: exhaust question??
Found this on eBay. It's the driver's side manifold for a '67-72. It's just on here for you to see what is correct.
