mini spools
I'm thinking about ordering a auburn mini spool for my '69. my question is, does a mini spool require c-clip eliminators? and why do some mini spools say car, some truck, and some say car and truck. Can anyone help me out?

The early truck 12bolt is a different animal than the car 12 bolt rears. Be SPECIFIC when you order your parts. IMO a mini spool is a bad deal. It serves the ourpose, but IMO there better used on a dirt track rather than a paved drag strip.

If you want to spool it.....just spend a few dollars more and put a full spool in it. That will require c-clip eliminators. If you drive on the street often, a regular posi is the only way to go. I build rears and I always try to talk customers out of mini spools if they bring up the subject. Folks try to have that posi on a budget, and although it may work......it may not always be your best option.
BTW....there are some mini spools out there that allow you to retain your c-clips and not need the eliminators.
