Re: what did you get done 7/8/12 edition

I've been cleaning out my garage and 10X12 shed this weekend, long over due. Made quite a bit of progress and will have a huge pile for the city to pick up on next week's trash day. All this cleaning out is to make room for a nice 140K BTU oil furnace I acquired on Wednesday. The furnace was in a house a friend of mine is demolishing to make way for a huge steel building/shop. The furnace is less than 10 years old and will keep me toasty this winter!

The daytime temps have been in the 100-110 range the past few days, not much fun being outside.

Re: what did you get done 7/8/12 edition

Nearly completed the top end over-haul. Took heads off and had a valve job done and heads surfaced, new Edelbrock Performer cam and intake, new rockers, new water pump, new MSD Street Fire dizzy and Hedman headers. Cleaned up the engine bay area and removed unneeded wires and vacuum items. Fresh rebuild of the Q-Jet and should have it fired up and running tomorrow. I plan on taking it to the muffler shop and have new flows and exhaust installed later this week.

I am ready to be done working on it and hope to enjoy it a while before I tackle removing 2.73's and installing 4.10's with a new 700R4.

Re: what did you get done 7/8/12 edition

finally got the truck painted and put back together. Then took her out for a little spin. Man was it nice to see all the hard work pay off and to finally be able to enjoy it.

Re: what did you get done 7/8/12 edition

A bunch of yard work in the blazing sun and thought up some cool ideas for my truck, such as a kill switch, painting panels and relocating my cd player

Preped, masked, and primed passenger side door and jamb

Also test painted a glove box door to see if the red would work with my seats

What do you guys think of the red for the interior?

Re: what did you get done 7/8/12 edition

Prep work on the house, first new carpet in 20+ years, will be the first time the closets have ever been painted. New lights and fans, patch and paint, screwed down the squeaking floors, etc. Had a new drive hub and brakes put in the mini-van.

But did find time to pull all my stuff out of the 'storage lot' and mow, including the 1984 chassis that is awaiting my attention. Bought a new gear for the diesel. Got 1 of 6 wheels of fthe 87 2 ton to remove the frozen brakes so i can move it too. 500+ lb=ft and no budging of the lug nuts on the other ones. Next, I start cutting things off...
