Rear leaf kit

Has anyone used the kit from CPP? Looks like a great kit that will fit the 3" explorer rear end. This is what I am leaning towards but wanted to see if anyone has purchased this.

Re: Rear leaf kit

I don't know how expensive the 8.8 swap kit is, but here is an alternative.

The Ford Ranger rear leaves have similar arch to what you need. Another option is the Chevy Colorado leaf springs.

I also like the Ranger spring mounts and shackle setup.

Re: Rear leaf kit

Just wanted to know if they are a good kit. Both CCP and Speedway have good prices. I know I need the 3.25 u-bolts but the rest is useable.

I don't think our came from CPP but it the same kit. I can't remember where we got ours.....It's pretty cool because it bolts right up to the existing hole in the frame if I remember right. You do have to remove the original hangers that are riveted to the frame. I think there might be some pictures in my build thread, if not let me know and I will see if I have any on my computer at home.

Re: Rear leaf kit

check out the 67-72 chevy truck setup that use trailing arms with coil springs, they refer to it as NASCAR style. i met no less than a dozen builders when i lived in socal that used that setup, easy to add air bags and rode great.
