rear seal gaskets ???

i bought these special "dead soft" aluminum rear-sel header gasket.
for some reason it does not seal air tight. and the ends are tight so that the middle of the gasket bows and allows air to escape .any suggestions on rear seal gaskets or maybe i need a new reducer flange .
i cant take pix right now but ill try later any feedback will help

Re: rear seal gaskets ???

overtightening causes the flange to bow making for a leaky seal. straighten the flange and do not overtighten
