I have a 402ci in my 72 and need the powersteering hoses to hook up to my big block pump from the box.

But, every plave I inquire about the hoses ,,they say they cut them up rather than take them off when parting out the truck.

You cannot find them in wrecking yards so was wondering are there other hoses from other vehicle that has the same bends as the big block trucks that I can substitute ?.. papa from close to Portland Oregon

The high pressure hose was still available from the chain parts stores last time I checked @ Oreilly's or Advance.

I have been unsuccessful trying to find a hi pressure hose from a parts house. Your best bet would be to take an old one to a hose shop and have them make a duplicate. Advance showed me 2 hoses they had listed for the big block trucks, and both of them weere incorrect.

If I remember correctly, Wes had a bunch made up a while ago and had them for sale

Appreciate help on who Wes is and how I can get hold of him.. I tried bending a couple that had the same ends but the bend I need to clear the pulley and stay clear of belts is jsut a bit sharp.. thx by the way ,,papa

Thats what I have been wanting to do ,,but don't have one to rehose. and need one with the hose still intact so to get the correct lenghth.. thx good idea we have ,but still need the original,, papa

I used a hose from a 73 with a 454 and it worked great. I ordered it from Advanced here in Florida. See if that is what you are looking for.

I dont have a big block but I just went thru this issue with the hoses so I had some made locally for $45.00 for both perfect fit and problem solved....I got tired of buying the so called correct ones and then not fitting..

The stuff they sell in the parts store is get by stuff, they are not correct for the application. The correct hose is difficult to locate. When I built my 71, I was able to locate one in Texas through parts voice (GM program) . Pickumup is the only one that I have seen with the correct repop of the hose, but he was only going to have a limited supply. If he does not have any more try contacting Uncle in Georgia, he has several bb trucks and may have a hose for sale.
