Bumpers!?
I am almost sure the bumper on my truck is an old ford bumper. I was wondering what an original 1970 chevy rear bumper looks like. I think a step would look good since it is a 3/4 ton 4x4. Any ideas and pics welcome

Re: Bumpers!?
I had a step bumper when I first got my truck, it lasted a whole 45 minutes before it was pull off. If you have a 4X4 you might be better off with a step due to height. If you can find one, they're cheap used. Unusually expensive new for some reason. I threw mine away or else I'd say pay for shipping and it's yours, hopefully someone here can offer you a similar deal

Re: Bumpers!?
Thanks. That's ok though I just don't think the chrome one will do because the p. o. Had welded the hitch to the frame and only steps will work. So, if any one has any good pictures so I can get a idea of what to look for.

This bumper is factory installed , "Option # V38" it is bolted on in factory drilled holes on my 71 Custom 20 two wheel drive. It is also listed on the spid.

Re: Bumpers!?
Here's my dealer installed bumper. It'll only be on the truck about another week, since I've ordered a factory type chrome bumper. My son said he wants this bumper for his build

Re: Bumpers!?
It's just the dealer installed bumper they put on the truck in '69. These trucks were sent to dealers without a rear bumper, and then the dealer installed one. This is a pretty standard step bumper, I've seem on dozens of 67-72's. I don't think you'll find one new. You'd need to find a used one at the junk yard, or buy one from the parts board

Re: Bumpers!?
I replaced my step bumper with a chrome sport bumper. You can have the step bumper and it's in Reno. Let me know.

Re: Bumpers!?
Agreed, those custom bumpers look nice. I have a chrome step bumper on mine, though.
Also, those are some good looking REAL dogs. We have a couple of Maltese and and a Chihuahua; they are my wife's dogs. I like those Shepherds and the Lab, those are real dogs that can do something besides yap and sit on your lap.

Re: Bumpers!?
Those trucks are awesome. I like the step on both trucks. Trust me I would prefer a chrome one but, it just won't work with that hitch and receiver on my truck.
