Very nice! Looks like a great turnout. I wish I could have made it to the Billetproof show down at Big Daddy's.

Old custom classic trucks have soul. Their dashboards aren't plastic, and they've survived both the best and worst of what the 20th century had to offer. For the owners of these trucks, it's often the same story. Through both good and bad times they persevered, until one day they could turn the key and roll up in a customized truck everyone with good taste would admire.Custom Classic Trucks

Hey what do you mean drop????? Don't you know that everything is lower in the grass?...The truck is bagged with big firestones outback and 2500's in front mounted to plates on top with 1.5 inch cups,2.5 dropped spindles and 1 inch lower A arms,notched,5 lug power disc,3 inch blocks and CPP longer style panhard that mounts under trailing arms. Still working on a compressor set up but I have a 10 gal. tank filled by schraders. I'm going to use a 450 twin Viar set up. I have a manual bleed and fill valves just to be differant.

Joe, I saw some a discussion of this in the suspension section. Its as basic as it gets, IIRC. It's all plumbing hardware and ball valves. Wrench it together and let it fly.......

Re: 60-66 Trucks from the Billetproof Show '09

Actually the valves aren't ball valves, they are a small toggle that I mounted in the floor between door and seat. The toggle is up for up and down for down. The exhaust dumps outside under the cab. They seemed to be alot cheaper and eaiser than electric valves but they use a lot of brass fittings and end up costing almost as much. They are 1/4 valves and I used 3/8 line. This set up in front doesn't have a ton of travel so the smaller valve makes it easier to find the sweet spot for driving instead of dropping too quickly and going to low.

Great perspective in that one with the hood up and the white rig in the background. Really cool.

Mac.

yeah I saw that thread, got me thinking....
have been trying to figure out where to mount it for easy access and it still be out of the way...think I might build/find a box to mount it in so I could close it up when it isn't needed....

I'm guessing you are using paddle valves? or something similar?

Hey Joe, I think Master Image Customs still sells manual valves. I think this is the style that chevytrucknut is talking about.
