Talking Holy drive shaft Batman !!

Look at the size of this drive shaft someone installed !!! It is aluminum though, checkout how they hacked up the cross member to use it though.

Yup. Long shafts have to be large diameter. Those aren't too bad. The little cover protects them from rock chips but can cause corrossion. You could probably get an aftermarket crossmember.

It is actually a parts truck and it is aluminum. I will be removing it this week, would this work for a 4x4 ?

Re: Holy drive shaft Batman !!

Those were used in the 88-98 model truck. Well the 99+ has them too but i think the wrap is different. I used one and had it cut down for my 6.0 LS powered 68 LeMans convert but the guy whooped the front messing it up I'm afraid. Of course I have never driven the car enough to know. I only got it running like 07. My brother was big in me getting it done and he died I have only uncovered it a couple of times since then.

I don't see why it couldn't be used for a 4x4. Don't hit anything with it like a snow bank it will be destroyed. If its the right length and ujoint size run it.
