1970 gmc

this is the spid list for my 1970 gmc this truck came factory with 5 bolt wheels . i ordered ball joints for the truck and they didn't fit i used 1971 parts and they worked .i was told this truck is made late in the year and that is the difference anybody else found this in their truck?

This has been covered I bet a dozen times in the almost 20 years I've been on the board. If you have 5 lugs and disc brakes, someone swapped them onto your 70 model truck. There were no factory 1970 disc brake trucks. They all had 6 lug 2x4 and 4x4 1/t tonners.

i bought the truck in the early 80;s i guess someone changed the rear end and front cross member early in it's life .the p47 option i think is the rims?

no posi was taken already i am looking for a posi rear end now getting hard to find here in canada .
