Blazer gas tank and deleting the cab tank

I'm getting a blazer tank tomorrow and I was wondering what is everyone doing about the gas lines? Adding to where it goes into the cab and using rubber gas hose or what? Let me know cause I want to get rid of the explosive device behind my seat. Thanks, Jeff.

I would replace the whole thing with new steel line.

It all depends on cost for me anyways. I used the original and added to it. I did not see the need if I had no problems with it.

Another option would be to order a fuel line from a Suburban.I say that because it looks like you have a LWB.It should be the same length and be at least close in shape(bends etc.).

I've got a stepside and I'm gonna use the blazer tank. I thought about using the original fill location, but was unsure of the long travel with little slope to get to the tank. My only issue with the blazer tank that the fill neck on the tank is only 1 1/4". I have had to adapt to this to make it work.

I have a wood bed, so I did not want to destroy the wood with the gasoline.

I have a friend who has a fleetside but he has a metal bed. He used a filler neck/cap and I think he purchased his from Air Ride Tecnologies. It's called the Cool Cap. Here's the link:

There are allot of different styles of filler caps that you can use with the rear tank fill.

Someone on the board used the fuel line from a fuel injcted pickup. The benefit is the nice inline fuel filter.
