Will truck bed fix blazer bed??

I was wondering if anyone has used a truck bed to fix blazer bed around the wheel wells? I also have to fix the back 6 inches of the bed about 12 inches wide on each side. Has anyone bought a patch and had good luck? Or should I find an OEM bed floor. Thanks for help

VTBlazer did a build thread on using shortbed bedsides to replace blazer bedsides. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=360248

I used a LWB bed floor as a replacement for my blazer floor, you have to cut the front and back to fit. Wheel wells and mounting areas all matched. ( Floor only)

Thanks for info. I guess I needed to be more specific, but I meant the the wheel wells on the floor.

Josh- I would love that tub but I should be able to fix this one.

Brentblazer- thanks, did you repair the tail end of your bed with the truck bed?

I used a complete LWB bed floor, had to cut the front and rear along with the notches near tailgate under bedside. All bedside holes and wheel house holes matched. Also used the rear crossmember but had to redu the frame mounts on all of the cross sills, (truck cross sills are not recessed like blazer mounts) The bed bolts in are relocated from the truck location to the half moon area in bed, but all matched really well. I measured EVERY LOCATION ABOUT 20 TIMES AND CUT ONCE! It was very time consuming but all worked. I was able to reuse a original bedside and a repopped bedside, only 1 hole didnot match and it was near the rear of the repopped side in the floor. Hope this helps.

Re: Will truck bed fix blazer bed??

I did this too, I used the first few inches of the front section of the Jimmy bed and just took a section out of the rear part and welded it back together. And if its a 72 the relief in the rear cross member will need to be created.

Re: Will truck bed fix blazer bed??

We must have been thinking along the same line, I also used the front 6" to give it the factory look.
