I got the star shifter. Its a little of a reach when in park. But I love it and it was the best $20 I ever spent on my truck.

This is in my 69.Hard to get in and out of park but once in gear everything is cool.

you guys buy those shifters new? I'm assuming they came with the shift cable and other hardware? I like the mega shifter in the first pic, wonder if you can get one for a OD trans...

Tug, yes new ones come with all the cables etc, and yes, can be used with a 4speed auto, just needs adjustment/changes to do it. (truck LIte Mega Shifter is waht im talking about). Cant post my pics at the moment, but looks just like first pic.

thanks for the info jason. a shifter is one of the many things on my to-do list. but at 180 bucks i'll be using my floppy old column shifter for awhile longer.

I used to have the Light Truck Megashiftrer in my 72. I didn't like how much play it had, I never could get it tightened all the way up. Excuse the mess, that pic is from when it was my daily driver, it's cleaned up and shifter on the column now.
