AC Fan, Have low and high only??

Well i finally got my factory AC in my non AC 69. Gathered up a new fan switch too. But the fan isn't running like it should.

From the selector i have Off, Low, Med, High.

The fan speed runs Off, Low, "High", Low.

I'm unsure if the Med setting on the switch and what the fan is doing is realy the fastest the fan will turn. If the low fan speed on the high setting is just waiting for the resister to kick in.

Does it have something to do with the resistor in the heater box?? Like i said this factory AC is new and i'm not sure exactly how it operates when hooked up right. Does it need to read some temp on the resistor before the High will kick in??
