Help!! Trying to replace window channel

Anyone got a link to a pictorial or YouTube video for working on the crank up windows? I'm really wishing I hadn't started this now

Are you replacing the metal window track or the rubber inside the window track?

I'm guessing the rubber inside track, & if you thought that'd be easy.. well, you sound like you already got that surprise,(especially with most of the after market replacement rubber being sold 'now-a-days').

Get an extra strip of rubber track,(they always sell them cut short), get a couple of friends to help 'press it',(more like muscle the crap out it 'cause it isn't extruded the same as the track anymore), into the metal track, & break out the dish soap,(lots of dish soap), & make a day of it.

I figured it out gotta take the wing vent out duh

Oh yeah, that's fun too.
Let me know if you find a good way without spreading the inner & outer door body panels & risking misshaping them.

Well the first one was easy to get the wing vent out since the window had already freed itself from the bottom channel that it rests in

The other side was slightly more challenging but nothing a few four letter words and some patience couldn't solve. However the key to getting it out seemed to be removing the felty rubber channel that goes in the door after pulling that out since I was replacing it anyway gave me just enough slack
