wiper blade arms
Is there an upgrade or a more modern blade arm for a 72 K5 Blazer? Ive bought 3 different kind of blades from parts stores and they all last about a week before rolling over and breaking. It would be great if there was a modern blade arm that would work.

Re: wiper blade arms
I've never had any issues with the original Trico metal blades with refills using a stainless insert to support the rubber. They are available at some NAPA and CarQuest stores, as well as online.

Re: wiper blade arms
I would agree with the Trico. I've found them at O'Reilly, although the counter guy won't know what you're talking about unless you know the part number. Ask for Trico 33-150.
I'm not aware of any modern upgrade that wouldn't require some type of adapter.

Re: wiper blade arms
I ordered square body wiper arms and ran the fluid tube to the arm. they work great. I run Bosch wiper blade replacements with no issue.

Re: wiper blade arms
8 years and 30000 miles with no issue. Check to see if your arms have a twist to them. The rubber blade needs to be able to bend back and forth with each swipe.
