Please someone tell me what the **** happened. are 250 to 292 not alike, is it not a 250, or can i make this work?

I Have a manual 4 spd with granny low

Re: 250 bellhousing into 292 inline 6

Assuming your flywheel isn't cracked or loose, where is it hitting? If on the outer edge, then you probably have a 'small' clutch bell and need a 'large' clutch bell. Look for one from a 3/4 ton. Measure your flywheel and clutch for comparison.

I know the 3/4 tons use a larger clutch than cars, and that the lighter 1/2 tons use a smaller clutch too,. I'm betting that is wht is going on. If so you 'could' get around it by putting in the smaller clutch - odds are the flywheel is drilled for both.
