Re: Long wheel base short bed??
Thanks Caminokid for posting those pics. I often wondered what a LWB would look like with the front and rear overhangs being equal......gotta say it looks like crap! I think I'll stick to the standard LWB-SWB conversion and leave the experimental stuff to those with less pride than I.

Re: Long wheel base short bed??
Oh that looks rough. Not my cup of tea but if the guy that did it is happy then so be it. To each his own. Looks like it has had some work done to it.

Re: Long wheel base short bed??
Heck, to me it looks better than some of the newer 4dr trucks with the rear tire rubbing the back of the cab.
If it was a 3/4 or one ton, it would be an excellent trailer puller

Re: Long wheel base short bed??
The only thing I would consider doing that to is a wrecker with a pickup box. It would be very functional and the boom/and or wheel lift would detract away from the butt-uglyness of it!

Re: Long wheel base short bed??
Several years ago,at least 10 maybe 15, there was a truck like that painted white with all of the stripes (heartbeat etc.) of the era. Supposedly it was cheyenne super that someone famous- don't remember who- chopped up and basically destroyed, however it did make the pages of truckin' as a feature truck. Ugly then, ugly now what is going on in the minds of some people? Reminds me of a guy who tryed to get a job in my dad's shop, called himself the "krusier kustomizer" thought he could chop stuff up and put it back together with bondo, but the goof sure could spray paint- go figure.

Re: Long wheel base short bed??
It is an abortion. It is destroying a perfectly good truck, and an offense to the eyes. It makes me throw up in my mouth. Can you tell I'm not crazy about it? Why couldn't they do that to a F%$#rd??

Let's just call it a "half assed" custom and leave it at that...

Come on now guys - if the guy is a member on here - you guys are certainly being harsh to him.
I know that 99% of us don't like it, but no need to be using some of the strong language that some are. DLB |
