Going down to get the 10 YO granddaughter. She comes up and spends 5 or 6 weeks with us every summer. We have a great time.... Won't be drivin' the truck this time. It's kind of crowded with 3 people and luggage for that long of a trip....

LockDoc-I have a really hectic schedule coming up as I prepare for a trip to Orlando as you are coming in to town. I doubt that I will have a chance to get to that side of town to hook up.

If you have time on Saturday night you really should go by the car cruise hosted by the Niftee 50ees. It is very close to the area that you will be. Weekend before last they had a few hundred hotrods (and one old black truck) show up....

Re: Houston/Spring trip

I think it is time for the beast to breath. Haven't been on a ride that took longer then 20 min since I picked her up from Humble. And that was when it had the power glide. Me and the wife would be up for lunch on Sunday. Anybody else. Would be sweet if we could get a bunch of trucks together and drive up there.

Re: Houston/Spring trip

I'm not real familiar with the Spring area so I don't know what's there. There isn't really anything I don't like as far as food goes so just tell me where and I'll be there. Lock said lunch so I'm guessing around 12:00 or 1:00?

Are either of you driving? If so, stop in P-Cola and say hey.

Re: Houston/Spring trip

If you want to bring the ladies along they might enjoy going to "Old Town Spring" There is a lot of little shops that are in walking distance that they would enjoy.

What kind of food do y'all want? There are a couple of places to eat there that are worth stopping at, and there are tons of restaurants not far away.

Hi gang,

Sorry for the delay in posting. My wife found a couple of antique malls on the way down so we had a little delay....

There is a restaurant in old spring called PufferBellys that has good food and plenty of room. I will have to check on weekend hours. The daughter is sleeping right now 'cause she works nights, but she should be up about noon and I will ask her. I think they have a web site but it may take me a while to find it with this 26.4 dialup connection.. I forgot how sloooow this dialup really is.

Well, after the granddaughter straightened me out on the spelling I found it:

http://www.puffabellys.com/

They are open 12-4 on Sundays, so Puffabelly's at 12 noon would work for me if it works for you guys. If anyone would rather make it 12:30 or 1:00 that wouldn't be a problem either, just post it. Thanks.

Hope this works, never tried it before....

http://www.google.com/maps?q=Old+Tow...i=map&ct=image

Hopefully the arrow will show where Puffabelly's is.

After checking it, it looks pretty good. It is actually right beside the railroad tracks on the north side.

I'm good for anywhere from 12:00 to 4:00 so I'll plan on being at Puffabelly's at 12:00 unless I hear different.

Puffabelly's is a good place to meet. The food is great, and it has a lot of atmosphere. It's at the end of Main St. near the tracks ao it's not hard to find.

Has anyone posted this in the regions forum?
