accessory vent shades

I have a set of accessory vent shades that I purchased to put on my C20, with the windows up they seem pretty secure,, but with the window down they seem like they could easily fall out,, especially if you were driving . The window channels are new. Is there some kind of clips ? Or do you use some kind of adhesive ? Any and all help is appreciated ! I like the looks of these shades and want to have them on my truck as long as they are secure .

Thank You ! Tom

Please note that the pictures are for reference ,, these are not my trucks !

You might check with these folks. They originally made them....

They are held securely in place with steel clips installed into the glass run channel behind the gasket , the clips are hard to find ,I've also seen guys drill the upper lip and use #4 panhead screws hidden behind the gasket .

Re: accessory vent shades

They used to provide little screws to poke into the edge of the window frame. A very risky thing to do without having the bit run off the edge and gouge the paint. Ask me how I know. Then came the convenient clips.

Re: accessory vent shades

So ,,, I had the drill out,, found some #4 screws,, and was going to pro-cede with the drilling. Wasn't real thrilled about drilling in to the edge of the door,,, was afraid of running off the edge ,, or drilling through to the outside . Had my stuff on the seat and saw the box they came in and thought I'll pitch that ,, I'm installing these and won't need the box anymore.
Grabbed the box off of the seat to pitch it in the trash can and a little bag dropped out of the box ,,, there were the clips. Must have been stuck in the bottom of the box .

Anyway ,, Long story short ,,I installed the clips and all is good ! I like the shades !

Thank you for the replies and ideas ! Have a great day !
