I have been wondering this myself, for the purpose of putting a 71 bumper on my 69, and installing driving lights in the openings.

Thanks guys, that was exactly what I needed. I have been thinking the same thing as Brad69 and putting a 71-72 bumper on my 67 to run some nice PIAA driving lights. I guess it will all depend on whether or not I can find a nice light to fill that opening. Thanks again, you've been very helpful.

I put a set of HELLA driving lites in my bumper.Fit o.k. I'll be making a pod for them to mount in now I have a mig welder.
I replaced the 71 grille with a NOS 69-70 grille(I like the look better). The HELLA's were the closest(dimension wise)to the opening in the bumper.
