Ah Ha!!

LOL! I opened my Master Cylinder, and found out why my brakes were not working

First off, that thing was a MESS! I am amazed that it worked at all before! Anyways, I washed it all down and found that the rear brake seal was broken!

I called NaPa and they are gonna try to get me just a seal without the master cylinder kit, if not I have a smaller, older one that I can use. They also are gonna try to find me a front left signal light. Hopefully my mother gets back with my Blazer soon, or they'll close on me... If I can get both these parts, all I gotta do is rotate the tires, while checking the rest of my brake pads / drums, do a little more work on the horn, then I can get insured and on the road by the end of the week!

These parts (other than the springs) are suppost to be silver!


The culprit! Replace this, and my brakes should be good!

Here's a tip for ya i do this every time i do my eng. oil cng.@ 5k i also cng my brake fluid in the master cyl.

I have an old turkey baster that i use to suck the fluid out and then i wipe out the reservoir with a clean rag & then put in new fluid

Because you never introduce air into the system cause there's always fluid in the M/S and the lines.

Provided you don't depress the brake pedal after you remove the fluid from the M/S.

Alright, sounds good! I'll probally get into the habit of changing my brake fluid every second oil change...
