Thumbs up Could it be possible?? crossmember under 300.00 and lay frame on 22's 24's??

I just saw an episode of Trucks recently, and they had a weld together mustang II cross member kit, so i go to their website

http://www.welderseries.com/catalog/...hp?cPath=22_25

there i see the crossmembers prices $200.00 to $233.00,
so i emailed the company,
i got a response asking of what the track width is for the C10.
but i am not quite sure of the answer,
as i am making payments on my C10
and currently don't have the truck yet,
but hopefully another 2 months or so i will,
but from the looks of things,
I think an under 300.00 price may work with this company.

if anyone has the details
you can contact
Paul Horton
info@welderseries.com,

no brakes ... no struts ... no spindles ... no rack ... not really a bargain once you add all these things up

i will, and if it is worth me going Porterbuilt or SD, believe me i will!!
both great companies and products
but it also doesn't hurt to explore other options.

can't say since i've never purchased a dropmember / raised member ... nor did i endorse either over a MII.

i was just pointing out there there are more costs associated with a MII front-end conversion than just the crossmember.

Re: Could it be possible?? crossmember under 300.00 and lay frame on 22's 24's??

just kinda searching
but it could be possible to put something together

mcGaughy drop spindles 235.26 gcustoms.com
--------------------
jegs mustang rack and pinion 229.99 junkyard (50.00)
------------------
**assuming one of the DIY mustang II kits that are made by paul hortons@ welderseries.com works out 220.00
or if a new version is created
i estimate 320.00 aprox w/shipping <just guessing>
--------------------
**engine mounts 50.00 welderseries.com
monroe sensa trac shocks 31.87
tie rod ends 40.00
stock control arms
stock disc brakes

with everything added up it totals from 600.00 to 800.00 or so
depending on if you go with junkyard rack and pinion

((but nothing set in stone, just seeing what my future options are and what your opinions are))

bags would vary

could always z the frame but not sure i wanna go that route
Thanks all for your input
kev
