64 Fleetside Wheel Carrier Help

Stock 15 inch wheel. Need help in mounting spare tire under the bed in stock wheel carrier (diagram/instructions).

Have searched everywhere in the assembly manual, only to find a diagram of the wheel carrier, but no diagram of how the spare tire mounts on to the corss strap.

After all the time and effort or finding the wheel and restoring the spare tire, I certainly don't want to be going down the road and lose it.
