door/t-top seal questions
i recently purchased an 84 camaro, and it has t-tops on there. i've noticed that there is rust along the inside of the t-top bar inside the car. i've bought another t-top bar, and am going to replace the one in the car with this one. here are the questions though:
1) what would be a good solvent/remover for the seal? i know that the rip and pull method works, but if i wanted to try and save the seal to put it back on, how would that work? 2) now, if i cannot save the old seals, what would be a good "glue" or adhesive to use on the new seals? eventually, i'll need to do this to the truck, replace the door seals, so i think that this would be good practice. any thoughts on this?

I used 3M weatherstrip adheasive (red colored tube / black cap) can't remember the part # it comes in a smalll toothpaste type tube. It worked really good, apply to both sides rubber and the cab, let it set up and press in place. Insalled my door seals about 6 years ago and no problems, regards, Doug
